Panama Bureau of Shipping (PBS) is dedicated to undertake Statutory Surveys and Certifications acting on behalf of the Panama and Belize flag administrations; on the other hand, provides Marine General Inspection Services, such as plan approval, vessel/cargo damage and condition surveys to P & I Clubs, Shipowners/Operators, Insurance Companies and the Panama Canal Authority.

We have a world-wide organization of selected and professional Marine Surveyors in over 70 countries. Our surveyors are assisted and supervised by a group of Senior Naval Engineers and Architects stationed in our Head Quarter Office located in Panama and when necessary they travel to the relevant ports.

Head Office Engineers carefully revise and validate our surveyors reports and job performed, study each case checking the ship files, blueprints and all previous work done to the ship according to our records prior to releasing full terms certificates to Shipowners, Operators and flag administrations. This process is to make sure that our surveyors have followed the proper procedures according to our company Manuals and Instructions, the flag administration’s regulations/requirements and IMO conventions.
